Personnel & Payroll Officer – Permanent full-time position

We are looking for an experienced payroll and employment matter professional who loves a challenge and is passionate about exceeding the needs of customers and providing a smooth and efficient end to end payroll experience and employment support when needed.

You will be responsible for managing payroll for a portfolio of clients across Smartly, MYOB, Xero, and PaySauce managed payroll services, along with some payrolls processed in Excel. This role ensures payroll is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company and legal requirements.

Accounting Assistant – Permanent full-time position

We are seeking an enthusiastic person with good accounting skills at intermediate or senior level.

Duties will mainly include preparation of client Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, Coding, and GST Returns. Business support and advisory will be required to assist client needs.

The position would suit a motivated person with good communication & computer skills, and is team and client service focussed. Previous experience in a Chartered Accounting office would be an advantage.

BAS Accountant (Intermediate or Senior) – Permanent full-time position

About the Position

We are currently looking for a committed and talented Accountant to join the team in our Paeroa office. The role provides you with the opportunity to work with an experienced, and collaborative team. You will be providing a range of services and liaising with Principals.

The preferred candidate will have a good understanding of technical accounting and NZ tax knowledge along with excellent analytical skills. Experience in preparing annual financial statements, income tax / GST / FBT / PAYE / RWT returns as well as preparing cashflows and budgets.

About You

    • Have experience in a New Zealand chartered accounting firm of 3-5 years.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • A constructive team player that knows how to build effective relationships within the team.
    • Provides excellent customer service.
    • Highly organised, confident, and is willing to learn.
